As you may know, the government shutdown is impacting more than most people realize, including SBA lending. Right now, the SBA can’t issue funding numbers, which means even lenders with delegated authority are unable to close loans until that final number is released.
We’re still working diligently behind the scenes : clearing conditions, updating files, and keeping deals ready to go. That way, once the government reopens, we can move quickly to secure your SBA funding number and close without delay.
Unfortunately, this shutdown has lasted longer than usual. What’s happening in Washington reflects a deeper divide in our country, it’s a struggle for control that’s growing wider by the day. With algorithms feeding people only what they already agree with, it’s harder than ever to bridge that gap. And globally, we’re seeing similar tensions and power struggles.
I’m not a pessimist , I just believe in hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. That’s the mindset I recommend for anyone running a business or managing a household. Stay ready, stay flexible, and don’t let fear drive your decisions.
For SBA Borrowers Right Now
If your SBA loan is on hold due to the shutdown and your seller won’t extend the closing date, we do have private bridge loan options available.
These loans can cover up to 90% of the purchase price, allowing you to close now and avoid losing the deal. Once the SBA reopens, we’ll refinance the bridge loan into a long-term SBA 7(a) or 504 loan.
It’s a practical way to keep your business moving , even while the government stands still.
So while the situation is frustrating, keep your head up, keep praying, and keep moving forward. Behind all this division is a hunger for power, and the only real answer is to pray, stay strong and grounded.
